The playing field is not owned by the council, it is a private facility operated by volunteers for the benefit of the village. The committee running it is in tight financial straits and the Parish Council is exploring ways to assist it and preserve the amenities. In recent years the committee has been highly successful and have installed the award winning play equipment for the children and the skateboard/BMX park. The Parish Council is highly supportive of these initiatives and will continue to support the facility for the parish.
